A Great Week

What a great week for running. Lots of 10 mile runs, speed work of 800 meter repeats at 3:00 min each, and a 36 mile long run today. The best part of the long run was listing to comedian “Larry The Cable Guy” on my IPod and had to stop running towards the end because I was laughing so hard. Laura mentioned about putting some comedy on to mix things up and give me a laugh when I needed something different to listen to. I was laughing so hard and wondered if anybody could hear me on the 3 mile repeat dirt track. If so, they most likely thought I was crazy, but I didn’t care at the time.
Just a couple more hard weeks of training and the tapper begins for RR-100.

Thomas, thanks for the comment! Looks like you are getting in some great training heading into RR. I might have to go with some comedy when I run too. I've got podcasts from ESPN, NPR and some tech news that helps pass the time, but a little laughter might be good to change things up.

Thomas, thanks too for the comments. the "ultra" running community has been great! I've watched your blog through Ronda S., you've done some incredible stuff! I hope to hit the 100 mark in 2010. My hardest will be Where is Waldo 100k!

Thanks Travis, Lisa, Cheri, and Bob for stopping by and providing some encouraging words. With a serious shortage of Ultra runners in my area, I often have nobody to talk to about running issues except Terri Hayes. I must be strong with motivating myself each day. Thanks and don't be a stranger.
