Looking forward to 2012

Another year has passed as I reflect on how much depth life has provided.  Rewarding in areas I never expected, and challenging in other areas.  I even embrace the defeats for I learn the most about myself during these times.  Special thanks to my blogging family for all the encouragement and support you have giving me.  I have enjoyed learning through your blogs, and get motivated by your accomplishments, as you shared the highs and lows of your life.  There are no words for the positive vibs, tough love, and comradely we share.  We are truly a unique breed of athletes!  I look forward to another year as we comment on each other’s victories, challenges, defeats, and life moments.

As for 2012, after reviewing my work and family schedules, I filled in the holes with races which I could support.  My focus will be going back to Mohican 100 and redeeming myself.  The fire still burns hot inside to overcome this course, again.  It’s time to start building some serious mileage and strength to prepare me for the challenge.  The last two months have been low volume easy runs (which should make for an interesting time at the Disney Goofy Challenge next weekend) with little to no long runs.  The recovery has been nice, but it’s now time to build-up and prepare for the challenges of 2012.

I'm glad you haven't given up on the Mohican 100. It's hard to give up something that you want to achieve so badly.

Happy New Year and may 2012 be your year to smash that race!

Thank you very much, and the same back to you as well. Look forward to commenting and reading what you are about in 2012. I esp look forward to how you do at the Mohican 100. How appropriate, or ironic of a name of a course in which not so trained for.....goofy challenge, but I am sure you will rock it. Take care and Happy New Year Thomas.
